This week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Washington, D.C. with my family and stop by the Aspen Policy Academy office. Seeing the academy’s work in action and learning more about its goals and values gave me a new perspective on the power of policy to create meaningful change.
Spending time in the heart of our nation’s capital reinforced just how important it is to engage in policymaking to improve society. It’s one thing to work remotely on design projects, but being in D.C. made the academy’s mission feel even more real and impactful. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the role policy plays in shaping our communities, and I’m even more excited to contribute through my work as a graphic designer!
